At Welcome Wellness Asheville, our providers blend extensive clinical experience with a patient-centered approach. We believe optimal health begins when you feel heard, supported, and empowered. We combine modern chiropractic techniques with time-tested therapies such as massage, acupuncture, and Chinese medicine to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and support your body’s natural balance.

Dr. Amanda Eastman, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Amanda Eastman discovered her passion for chiropractic care while recovering from her own sports injuries in high school and later earned her degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2013. After falling in love with Asheville and the Blue Ridge Mountains, she made the area her home and has been part of the Welcome Wellness community since 2017.

Dr. Eastman has trained under Dr. Karen Hartman and Dr. Corey Walton, developing a broad range of techniques including manual adjustments, drop table, flexion-distraction, toggle, extremity adjusting, and ArthroStim. She is grateful and honored to step into her role as chiropractor and continue providing compassionate, individualized care.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her dogs Maverick and Roscoe, gardening, camping, and experiencing live music with her partner, Dr. Corey Walton.

Dr. Corey Walton, DC

Chiropractor

Dr. Corey Walton grew up in a small rural town in upstate New York and discovered early on his passion for helping others. He earned his degree in Clinical Science from Keuka College in 2011 and went on to complete his chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College in 2013. After graduation, he moved to Asheville and practiced with Dr. John Faherty until his retirement in 2017.

Dr. Corey joined Welcome Wellness in 2016 and quickly embraced the practice’s culture of treating patients like family. Under the guidance of Dr. John and Dr. Karen Hartman, he has become highly skilled in diversified adjustments, flexion-distraction, drop table, toggle, ArthroStim, and extremity adjusting. He is grateful to be part of the Welcome Wellness team and to serve the Asheville community.

Outside the office, Dr. Corey enjoys spending time with his partner, Dr. Amanda Eastman, and their dogs, Roscoe and Maverick. He also loves technology, live music, and everything the Asheville area has to offer.

Dr. Karen Hartman, DC

Chiropractor

Chiropractor Dr. Karen Hartman has had the pleasure and privilege of serving her mountain community for over 25 years. Her love of being with people inspired her to be a chiropractor in 1982 and her love of the mountain lifestyle brought her to the Asheville area in 1987. Dr. Karen has created a diverse practice, welcoming people of all ages, from birth to old age, and all cultures, abilities, and lifestyles. Her chiropractic techniques are diverse as well. She practices chiropractic techniques from manual adjustments to drop table and arthrostim as well as incorporating massage, physiotherapy and acupuncture. Her thoughtful, individualized concern and care of people has made her a fixture in the natural health community, and she was voted #2 chiropractor in Asheville in the 2013 Best of WNC X-Awards by Mountain Xpress. Dr. Karen says she has the greatest job in the world; she hangs out with people she likes all day and helps them get well.

D Smith, MAOM, Dipl.Ac, LAc

Acupuncturist

D earned her Master’s Degree of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Daoist Traditions College of Chinese Medical Arts. For the past 10 years, she has studied with Jeffrey Yuen, an 88th generation Daoist Priest, which has given her a passionate and deep respect for Classical Chinese Medicine. D’s knowledge and experience have allowed her to help patients with a variety of issues including; emotional and physical pain, digestive issues, infertility and insomnia.

D also Volunteers as a board member with Appalachian Wildlife Refuge, an organization that rescues injured and orphaned wildlife and gives them a second chance at life. D’s passion for her hometown lead her into real estate many years ago and she continues to work part-time with the good folks at Appalachian realty as a realtor.

CC Young, LMBT

Licensed Massage Therapist

A native of the Blue Ridge Mountains, C.C. Young earned her Associate’s Degree in Massage Therapy from Asheville–Buncombe Community College in 2015. With years of hands-on experience and mentorship from Dr. Karen Hartman and other healthcare providers, she has developed a highly intuitive and therapeutic approach to bodywork.

C.C. specializes in Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release, combining both techniques to reach the deepest layers of muscle while gently releasing connective tissue for long-lasting relief and relaxation. She is grateful to be part of the Welcome Wellness team and is passionate about helping patients reduce pain and feel more at ease in their bodies.

Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring new experiences that deepen her connection to people and nature.
