Licensed Massage Therapist

A native of the Blue Ridge Mountains, C.C. Young earned her Associate’s Degree in Massage Therapy from Asheville–Buncombe Community College in 2015. With years of hands-on experience and mentorship from Dr. Karen Hartman and other healthcare providers, she has developed a highly intuitive and therapeutic approach to bodywork.

C.C. specializes in Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release, combining both techniques to reach the deepest layers of muscle while gently releasing connective tissue for long-lasting relief and relaxation. She is grateful to be part of the Welcome Wellness team and is passionate about helping patients reduce pain and feel more at ease in their bodies.

Outside the office, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and exploring new experiences that deepen her connection to people and nature.

Kevin Pennell , LMBT

Licensed Massage Therapist

Kevin Pennell is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMBT #15765), Certified NCBTMB Continuing Education Provider, Herbalist, and Podcast Host and Producer of Toward A Better Life. He’s been practicing bodywork for over 25 years to help people be their best. He’s also an Usui Reiki Master, and Instructor for various self-help workshops with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Spurgeon College. As a healing facilitator, he devotes his life to being a “hollow bone” or tool to bring about “Compassionate Healing”.

 

He employs Traditional Massage Therapy, TuiNa (a Chinese form of medical massage), Thai, Trigger Point Therapy, Acupressure, Deep Tissue, stretching, pre-natal, geriatric, and many other associated bodywork techniques as needed to bring patients back into state of balance, reduce stress, and relieve muscle pain and discomfort. He also employs Reiki, Intuition, and Empathy as needed to promote the individual’s emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
